Q: Do you test the cameras before selling them?

Yes! Every single camera is carefully inspected and tested before it gets listed. To give you complete peace of mind, we will even record and send you a video of your specific camera being tested and functioning properly right before we ship it out.

Q: What condition should I expect my vintage camera to be in?

Because these are vintage pieces, minor cosmetic wear (like light scratches on the body) is totally normal and adds to their retro charm. However, we ensure that the lenses are clear and the core mechanics are functioning beautifully. Any significant cosmetic flaws will always be explicitly noted in the product description.

Q: Do the cameras come with batteries, chargers, and memory cards?

Most of our cameras come with a battery and charger, but you will need to provide your own SD/memory card. Please check the specific product listing to see exactly what is included.

Q: My pearl looks slightly different from the photo. Is this normal?

Absolutely! We use genuine, organically grown Baroque pearls. Because they are created by nature, no two pearls are exactly alike. The slight variations in shape, texture, and surface are not defects — they are the beautiful, unrepeatable hallmarks of a real pearl.

Q: Is your jewelry safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. We intentionally craft our pieces using premium 925 sterling silver (and 14k gold plating on select items). Sterling silver is naturally hypoallergenic and free of nickel, making it a gentle and comfortable choice for sensitive skin.

Q: How do I care for my pearl and silver jewelry?

Every necklace order includes a protective pouch, a care card, and a silver cleaning cloth. To keep your pieces glowing, gently wipe the silver hardware with the provided cloth. Keep your pearls away from perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals, and store them in their pouch when not being worn.

Q: How does the Local Meet-Up option work?

If you are in the Greater Vancouver area, you can select "Local Pick-Up / Meet-Up" at checkout. To secure your meet-up, a $20 CAD deposit must be sent via e-transfer to hello.ssstuff@gmail.com within 2 days of ordering (otherwise, the order will be cancelled). Once received, we will contact you within 2 business days to arrange a time and public location (like a major SkyTrain station or cafe).

Q: Do you ship outside of Canada?

Currently, our website checkout is set up for Canada only. However, we do ship internationally on a case-by-case basis! If you are outside of Canada, please DM us on Instagram or email us before placing your order so we can calculate the best shipping rate and apply a delivery discount for you.

Q: Can I return my camera if I change my mind?

Due to the fragile nature of vintage electronics, camera returns are generally not accepted. We only consider returns for cameras if they arrive defective. Important: You must record an unedited unboxing video that shows you opening the package and inserting the battery for the first time to prove the defect. Without this video, we cannot process a return.

Q: Can I return my pearl necklace because of a bump or ridge on the pearl?

We do not accept returns based on the natural imperfections or organic shapes of our Baroque pearls, as these are natural characteristics of the gem, not defects. However, if there is a functional issue with the chain or hardware within 7 days of delivery, please contact us!
